Waverley Archives
The Waverley Archives is rooted in the history of Waverley and its inhabitants. We are actively engaged in the digitisation of this collection, and we extend a warm invitation for you to embark on this journey with us.
Our archive comprises an array of remarkable artefacts, including rare items like ostrich feathers and antique clothing, a trove of Council correspondence, archives from local community groups, detailed architectural plans, extraordinary paintings and images, and a valuable collection of Glass Plate Negatives. Moreover, our collection encompasses a diverse range of topical files, exceeding 5,000, each delving into various aspects of local history.
Beyond these offerings, our Local Studies Collection stands as a rich repository of historical knowledge. It houses historical Council meeting minutes and rate books that unveil insights into property ownership and valuations in Waverley. Furthermore, a collection of Waverley Council reports and a list of local newspapers are at your disposal, providing indispensable resources for those keen on delving into Waverley's rich history and heritage.
